1. DT Internship
This internship opening is to enable students to work on exploratory work to contribute to digital solutions based on the specific identified problem.
Location: Bangalore/Pune, India
Qualifications
- Technology enthusiast. Passion/aptitude for both software and information technology. Up to date with current industry standards, trending software and information technology development tools.
- Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom. Extra initiatives/engagements in student organizations is a plus
- Communicative & open- minded. Good written and verbal communication skills
Intern Responsibilities
- Be a part of development team to work on full stack software development, web technologies, data analytics , ERP development e.t.c.
- Work closely with the design community to identify business needs, create a problem statement, & develop functional specifications and support software development.
- Work closely with an identified mentor on an allocated project, make presentations.
- Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with organization policies and procedures.
2. Research Intern - Physical Digital Analytics
The applicant should be highly passionate and an enthusiastic player for solving applied research problems in industrial segments discussed above by building and implementing algorithms for machine learning and deep learning.

Materials Organization of GE Research invites applications from driven and exceptional Materials Science students/researchers to work on accelerated discovery and development of metallurgical solutions. This will be a Short-Term Assignment of up to six months.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Ph.D./M.Tech. programs in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Physics with research experience in structure property correlations.

Qualifications
- Master or PhD student in Physics/Engineering
- Exposure to physics-based modeling for eddy current probe design, microwave system design.
- Hands-on experience with ability to set up and run experiments.

Intern Responsibilities
- Design of inspection probes/sensors, physics-based modeling, inspection planning, experimental validation, field experimentation and inspection optimization.
- Development of inspection techniques for various applications from raw materials to manufactured components to in-service part inspection.
- Development of inspection software including system capability analysis (probability of detection), signal/data analytics, imaging, data fusion and workflow algorithms.
- Development of new NDE technologies for health monitoring, damage detection and material characterization.
6. Controls & Optimization R&D Intern
The internship would be done under the guidance of a senior researcher in the Controls and Optimization organization.

Qualifications
- Candidates currently enrolled with Masters or PhD program in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Aeronautical Engineering, having an outstanding track record for independent applied research and demonstrated ability to learn and apply recent advances in controls, optimization and estimation.
- Should be a team player with good communication skills and passionate about building and deploying the algorithms in lab prototypes\field pilots.

- The candidate must be eager to work in a global team of experienced and dynamic researchers to develop the next generation of control systems hardware and software.
- Candidates should have a strong physics and math orientation, demonstrably good Matlab\Simulink skills, Python and familiarity of hardware in the loop simulation platforms like dSpace etc. Exposure to edge software and hardware is also desired.
