Who We Are
answersQ is a content platform publishing research-led guides on online learning, technology, careers, finance, health, and home topics. We are operated by two co-founders based in India, and our readers come from across the world — including the United States, United Kingdom, India, Bangladesh, and many more countries.
By accessing or using answersQ, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please do not use our website.

What Information We Collect
We collect two types of information — what you actively give us, and what is automatically recorded when you use the site.
A. Information you give us voluntarily
Email address — if you contact us or, when launched, sign up for our newsletter
Your name — if you include it in a contact form or email message
Message content — anything you write when reaching out to us
We do not collect payment information directly. Any purchases made through our affiliate links are processed entirely by the destination platform under their own privacy policy.
B. Information collected automatically
When you visit answersQ, the following data is collected automatically by us and our third-party analytics service (Google Analytics):

Third-Party Services
We use several external services that may independently collect data about your visit. We name every one of them below — no vague “we may use third-party services” language.

Affiliate Links & Third-Party Privacy
answersQ uses affiliate links. When you click one, you leave answersQ and arrive at a third-party website. That platform handles your data under its own privacy policy — not ours.

We do not pass any personal data about you to affiliate partners
The destination platform’s privacy policy governs everything that happens after you click

Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the personal data we hold — including secure connections (HTTPS), access controls, and using reputable third-party services with their own security standards.

Changes to This Policy
We update this privacy policy when our data practices change — for example, when we add a new service, launch the newsletter, or phase out AdSense. When we do:
The “Last reviewed” date at the top of this page will be updated
Significant changes will be noted clearly within the policy
If we introduce new data practices that require your consent, we will notify you with a prominent notice on the website before those practices begin
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of answersQ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Email us at enquireanswersq@gmail.com — we aim to respond to all privacy enquiries within 7 working days and we don’t charge for data requests.
Quick answers to the questions we get most often about data and privacy on answersQ.
No — never. answersQ does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. The only data we share is anonymous analytics with Google Analytics (no personal identifiers), and anonymous commission attribution data with affiliate platforms. Neither includes your name, email, or any information that identifies you personally.
You are taken to a third-party website (such as Coursera, Udemy, or Amazon) which handles your data under its own privacy policy. That platform may set tracking cookies to record the referral. answersQ only receives an anonymous notification that a commission was earned — we do not receive your name, email address, or payment details. See our Full Disclosure Policy for more detail.
Yes. Email enquireanswersq@gmail.com to request deletion of any personal data we hold — such as emails from a contact enquiry. We will confirm deletion within 7 working days. For data held by Google Analytics, use the Google Analytics opt-out tool. For affiliate platform data, contact those platforms directly under their own policies.
We currently run Google AdSense display ads on some pages, which may use cookies to show relevant ads. We are in the process of removing AdSense from the site over the next 3–6 months. We do not build our own advertising profiles, we do not sell data to advertisers, and we do not use your browsing behaviour on answersQ to target you with ads elsewhere.
answersQ is based in India but respects the privacy rights of all readers globally. UK/EU readers — under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, and port your data, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to the ICO (UK) ↗. California readers — under CCPA you have the right to know what data is collected, request deletion, and opt out of data sale (we don’t sell data). Indian readers — under the DPDP Act 2023 you have the right to access, correct, and erase your data and seek grievance redressal. For all regions, email enquireanswersq@gmail.com to exercise your rights.
